WHO ARE WE?

The Palliative Care in the hospital Dr. Max Peralta was founded on April 2, 1990 in the heart of the medical department of this hospital, the Pro Unity Palliative Care Association of Cartagena (Asociación Cartaginesa Pro Unidad de Cuidados Paliativos, ASOCAPA). ASOCAPA is the official association that has given support to this clinic since 2003 which has as an objective of supporting to cancer and chronic illness patients in the terminal stage.

WHAT IS A PALLIATIVE CARE CLINIC?

It is a team of volunteers who provide support to the patients with illnesses in the terminal stage by bringing a warm and comfortable environment permitting them to improve their quality of life.

Who do you serve?

People of all ages who suffer a chronic illness in the terminal stage such as cancer and other illnesses in the Palliative Care Unit del Hospital Dr. Max Peralta.

MISSION

To tackle the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of the terminal patient and his/her family of the Palliative Care Unit through teamwork and a relationship with Dr. Max Peralta Jiménez Hospital.

VISSION

To give and promote attention which is integral to the terminal patient and his/her family.
